“All colors are the friends of their neighbors and the lovers of their opposites.” Marc Chagall
Warm glass is art glass formed in a kiln. The process involves several firings of compatible glass at temperature ranging from 1475 to 1700°F. Because of the fluidity and unpredictable nature of glass the transformation occurring at each firing makes every piece unique.
I am fascinated by the complex and versatile transformation of glass oscillating between fragile and strong as it goes from a rigid state to near liquid and back to rigid during the heating and cooling segments.
From commissioned pieces of art to my own innovative designs, I create a variety of items where simplicity, elegance and colors are the essential components.
